Aeris nodded her head, accepting both of their promises as she held out the note for them to take. "Upon this note I doth believe there is reason to break the truce at hand. The one yee seek will flee tonight. " Her wings shifted a bit as the noted was lifted from her hand, and she watched as their eyes raked over its content. All the while questioning if this was really the way things should be done? After all...she wasn't sure she trusted the reason that golden-eyed demon gave her the evidence. She did, however know, that this was not something she could keep a secret. So she would have to accept the consiquences of this action. --------- Selina hestitated but a moment before entering the the room, taking in the sight of the cold body rested so gignerly upon its mount. She joined Caretaker Soli, and caretaker Lauri near the bedside of the fallen mistress, mimicking Soli, and praying silently for the fallen woman. She didn't really know what to say, aside from wishing her the best in the next life. Though, she supposed that was all that really had to be said.

A half day's ride was going to be cut into two thirds time of a gallop. The horsemen riders broke through the forest with thunderous hooves, now at the time of sunrise. Barely an hour away. If they were keeping to their rituals, Captain Marthlo Rui understood the ritual of burning was to begin at dawn with the singing of the songs of Spira. But what he understood most, was his duty. He had to stop this from happening.
- - - - - - - - - -
But it was two hours ago when he heard the news. His eyes wide, his brow drenched in sweat. He was frightened, terrified. He turned to Captain Thog and the new captain nodded to his teacher, as if to say 'By all means, lead this campaign to it's end, M'lord' and the captain roared to awaken the others.
"What is the meaning of this?" Sir Dusk demanded, whom arrived almost immediately. "Why are being summon here at this hour?"
"Aye, M'lord?" came from the slightly drunk Sir Roland. "Why it we are being awoken by your thunderous roarin' tone? Drink' yerself stup'd 'gain?"
"Silence Sir Roland," came the voice of Sir Gona, the last to arrive but the one who seemed the most alert. "The Captain has nare once awoken us from our slumber lest it been for a honourable reason."
He followed Sir Robin into the bar and they all awaited Capitan Rui's answer. The Captain turned to his niece one last time to whisper so that only he and her and Sir Thog could hear. "If yee leave this tavern, I will cuff yee in chains me'self Aeris." He then turned to his knights. "We gallop to break the ritual of three days, we ride now!" He spoke holding the piece of parchment his niece handed to him, Soli's journal entry. "We have just cause now. The Caretaker was the one."
"And?" asked Sir Dusk in a snide way. "What changes that? We're not in crises times, martial law be not declared. What changes just because we know her identity?" Captain Marthlo Rui handed Sir Dmitri Dusk the parchment. The Knight's eyes grew wide, even he was no stranger to the horrors this would cause. That was always his weakness, at least that he saw, Dusk might be corrupt but he is still a knight in his heart. The parchment was passed around and it was understood what was needed.
"We gallop and we do not stop nor slow," Rui said drawing his sword to motivate his men. He raised it to the sky. "Let's end this hunt before that witch ends their lives!" They all walked to the door, Rui last but before he left he turned and pointed his sword at Aeris. "Stay or you will be coming home in cuffs and I'll chain yer wings togetha for a month, got it?"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
But he remembered it well, he didn't wait for an answer. He walked out, he left her to stay. He got on, he rode, like he was now, riding east into the sunlight. His men fully armoured, himself included. Their steeds not breaking their gallop, not for a second. This ends today, either yee end the way yer kin doth destined, or yee kill again. But I do not intend to die, Draken Witch.
"I can save them, Solisalina," Voidra's whisper spoke into her ear. She closed her eyes trying to get it force it out. But Voidra persisted. "I can save them." "All of them." I can protect them all." "I can teach you to control." "Join me Soli...join me."
But then the voice from her dream entered her head, silencing all the others.
"A storm has awoken Xion...and you are it's eye."
The voice echoed in Soli's head, a soothing but powerful voice.
"Xion..." she said softly.
"Soli?" Luri's voice said as she entered the kitchen where Soli sat, and had been sitting since the two lovers finished moving Luri's mother on the bed of sticks. Soli had asked Selina to do the cleansing of the room, until she could join her after moving the body. However Luri told Soli to go back, that she looked ill. And she was. Voidra's voice had been echoing in mind since Soli let go of the body. Soli had vomited twice now, therefore was holding the pale on her lap. "Are you well?" her lover asked feeling Soli's head with the back of her hand. "You feel of ice, Solisalina. What's wrong?"
Soli shook her head.
"I'm fine, Luri, I swear."
"You look neither fine nor honest," she said sadly. "Stay here, Solisalina. I'll wake the children and bring them out. I'll have Selina help you meet us there, alright?" Without waiting Luri went upstares calling Selina's name to ask her help.
"I can save them!"
The voice echoed and Soli vomited immediately as it did. It won't matter either way soon, you demon, she thought. I will not let you use my powers, ever.
The voice fell silent. Soli didn't hear it again, and before Selina would reach her, Soli began to feel better. Much better almost immediately. She smiled at her improvement and slowly she began to sing to awaken the rest of the children.
"Lift us up, my motheirng Spira, teach us all to love every, thing from the grass to our neighbor, so that we may be happily. Teach us to live without regret, teach us to soar in life lement, so that when we pass to you, we can become part of you."

The ritual of cleansing was a daunting task for one as green as her, but it was a task that she took to none-the-less. It was another way to lose herself in a rhealm of habit, fading away from a world that was so harsh to all its children. Cleansing was always a difficult thing to do, she concluded as she once more went over the whole of the room with the ritualistic procedure. This was her fifth attempt to do it properly, since the last four had been full of errors, the most prominent of which involved a lack of proper blessings. She had never paid mind to such things as a child when she was taught, a fact she now regretted, though not too greatly. "Almost done." a glance outside the small window of the cramped space alerted her that she had been at this for quite some time indeed. If she didn't hurry she would be late. ---- She watched from her treetop perch as her uncle's army approached, sharp blue eyes almost pensive as they scanned both the ritual and the ever approaching troops. The nerves she felt raked her very insides, threatening to overflow in a convulsion. An impulse she desperately fought back. Was this the right thing? What defined the right thing?
She still recalled the moment she handed the note over, nearly two hours ago, though it already to her felt like a year had passed. Time lost its meaning it seemed, when emotions were involved. His words still echoed fresh in her mind, and when she closed her eyes, she could see clearly the play of events that had occurred. -- The men had all left, leaving her and a few patrons in the bar. His words rung sharp in her head, "If yee leave this tavern, I will cuff yee in chains me'self Aeris." With such a threat...how could she resist? The grin at the thought of a new chance, temporarily overtook any tension at what they would do once they reached there. She went towards the door, to follow, only to have her arm grabbed by a very burly looking drunkard. His words slurred, and he seemed intent on keeping her there. "W'ere zo ya thonk yor goin lass?" She frowned at him, not even hesitating in her movements as she swung her leg into his groin, flaring her wings into his eyes as a sort of blind, and then biting his hand, his instinctual reaction to let go allowing her the chance to bolt past him. The moment she was out of the tavern, she was up in the air, flying at maximum velocity towards the army. It hadn't been hard to find them at all, even from the height she was at. She had followed them for a time, before rushing on ahead to sit and await the chaos that was to unfold. -- Which brought things back to the modern era as she opened her eyes to gaze upon a small figure running towards the rest of the group, clearly flustered. Silver hair glinting in the moonlight as it ran to be apart of the massive song which filled the air like a soothing melody. ------- She was late, but the deed was finally done, after 12 attempts, it was properly cleansed and she could finally allow herself to join in the singing of songs. It was perhaps, the one part of funerals that she ever cared for, the songs. It was as though she was speaking one last time with the dead, jovial rather than sorrowful. She liked to think that most departed would rather someone be jovial after all.

The children's voices echoed with hers, as the quire sand the song. All thoughts of Voidra had left Soli's mind and heart and here she sang, freely as always. They followed her now, Luari too, and sang with her. A line, a precession of singers, a quire of birds walked in unison as their flock moved towards the front door and the rising gold of the morning sun. Soli opened the door stepping through first.
"Here is Spira, our mothering sky, hear what we ask today! Take our loved one, take her with you, to the land of spring always!"
Their voices rang out as they stepped into the yard, their prayer echoing through the endless fields and hills, through the trees of the deep forests, to the highest clouds in the sky. Their voices were so wondrous, so powerful, that when Voirda's telepathic whispered entered Soli's mind she merely dismissed with a shrug of her shoulder and continued to sing. They sang loudly, proudly...until....
He came.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
The drums of the hooves outcasted the echoes of the song until just as they exited the clearing, Soli could see that they were not expecting to enter upon the singing. Captain Ruie and his band entered the fields, armed and shielded. It was Lauri who first stood in their way.
"Captain Rui what is the meaning of this?!" she demanded, but he and know knights rode right past her and surrounded Soli, pointing their spears at her.
"Caretaker Solisalina, you are under arrest!"
But Lauri wasn't to give up, not yet...a mistake.
"Under what charges? And how dare you enter my ground of Sanctuary without Martial law being declared!"
"Stand aside!" Sir Dusk ordered to Lauri.
"Not without an explanation!" she commanded, standing between Soli now and their spears. "You will give me an explanation, I command it!"
"An explanation yee say?" Sir Roland said jeering and with a single swift motion, stabbed Luarianna in the stomache with his spear, piercing her body then ripping it out with a stomp of his boot.
It was then second lasted like hours for Soli, only then. Sir Roland's heel struck her, and she fell. She fell, gushing blood and so slowly...her lover, Soli's lover. How? How could this happen, she asked herself as she knelt to catch her beloved. How could she let this happen? And the voice of evil answered her.
I told you so.
Soli struck the ground hard, catching her beloved Laurianna in her arms. She held her, the half elf bleeding out like a river onto Soli's black dress. She cried and tried to preassure the wound.
"No, no, nonono, Lauri stay with me," she said. "Look at me, look at me."
And she did, her eyes so sleepy. She smiled in such a drowsy way, as if it was time for her to sleep.
"Solisa...lina...I...I think I will sleep now, can you...can you take over for a bit?"
"Shhhhh, shhh Lauri, it'll be fine, you'll be fine, no sleep we have so much," she sniffled in a sob. "So much more to do...."
"I think no..." Lauri said. "You will be a wonderful hero one day, Soli...I can see it...." and with a whisper she said "The Nexus showed me....you'll be a hero Soli...and ...and Soli...?"
She sobbed, "I'm here." Tears rolled down the butterfly ferry's cheeks, enough to drown poor Laurianna. She knelt holding her beloved, her poor dying beloved.
And Lauri's hand reached up, brushed a tear away from Soli's eye and whispered, "You're my...my hero...." As her final words left her, Laurianna died into shadow, into Soli's arms.
Of all the dishonourable things that Captain Rui had seen, this was the only one that made him lose his cool. With a swift motion, Captain Rui swiped sword through the air and broke Roland's spear into pieces. A second motion swung the sword against his armour, knocking Roland to the ground. Rui's steed moved to stand over him, his spear pointed to Roland's heart.
"How dare yee, Sir Roland? How dare yee? You shall pay or this crime!"
"M'Lord enough!" Sir Dusk called out. But Rui pointed his sword at Sir Dusk.
"Sir Dusk, stay your hand," his spear still pointed at Sir Roland, he glared rage within his eyes. "Sir Roland, I charge yee with treason to the crown! May Spira have mercy upon your soul!"
The shockwave erupted, it knocked them all off their horses. Sir Roland's chest was impaled with Rui's spear, he died almost instantly. Rui fell to the ground, he stared up as his fellow knights fled away, and Soli, The Draken, stared at him. For you see it was only then, in his final moments, that he understood the true curse the draken...almost none could control their powers.
"I...am a fool....:"
She glowed white hot, as hot at the hottest star. We wings and her eyes glowed the brightest. Lighting formed around her body, as her powers began to take hold of her. She wasn't Soli any more, Soli was asleep, this Soli's Sun, her powers of rage and hatred. This was the beast she never allowed to escape her. And here she stood over the man who had brought her whole life down upon her head, the man responsible for her always needing to run, and she was white how with 1,000's suns of rage, preparing to explode like dying star all of that fire outwards.
And she did.
The entire field erupted in white light. Fire and Lightning destroyed all in it's path, the trees, the building, the children....well most were lucky, most made it to the woods but some....
The other knights escaped too, with the exclusion of Captain Marthlo Rui who stared death into the face, and welcomed it as the bringer of his rest, and the one thing who could finally silence his mistakes...forever.
The explosion continued, onwards and onwards, it wouldn't stop this time...it was too much. Someone had to stop it for her...but how? And who?

Selina saw the oncoming storm, and somewhere deep within her she knew something bad would come of this storm. She heard the thrunder first, over the songs, and soon...the joy that had encompassed her being faded into nothing. She wanted so badly to flee at the sight of them...to run and hide. Yet, she had a duty, and that duty made her stay. She looked over towards the younger children who slowly began to stop singing and look over towards the oncoming storm as well.
She watched in horror as caretaker Lauri stepped forward to demand an answer...and watched as they passed her right by and surrounded soli. "Everyone get inside now! Go, let the adults sort this out! She could feel it...something bad was going to happen. She didn't want the younger children to see it. Yet her demand was met with hesitation by most. "Go!" her final shout seemed to send most of the flock bounding back towards the school house.
She turned back towards the group just in time to see the soldier impale Caretaker Lauri and she was instantly, upon looking at that spear, brought back to the sight of her mother...and she was finally able to do the one thing she had never been able to do as a child. "No!" she screamed out for them to stop, and charged towards the crew, stopped only by black wings, suddenly infront of her, blue eyes meeting her own lavender eyes with sorrow, before pushing her away. -----
Aeris saw the spear impale the woman, and her heart wrenched. This was...her fault. She had to at least try and rectify it. She jumped out from her perch, eyes glancing towards her uncle, before traveling towards the figure who was going to also get herself killed if she continued on that path-the silver haired girl. She dropped infront of her, and gave her her best comforting look before turning in time to feel the wave blow her back. The wave of pure sorrow that they both felt, and both had a portion of themselves triggered.
Aeris's eyes widened, and she was charging towards soli in an instant. She had to at least save the children and her uncle. She landed in front of Soli her black wings spread wide, as she tried to shield the others from the emmense waves of power comming off of Soli. It triggered within her, her own set, which pulsated in response back to her. The energy in the air was crackling by this point, and almost any could feel the colliding balancing opposites go head to head.
" Listen to me! I know you are upset, but you have to fight it! Fight its control! I'm so so sorry for what happened! But you have to win back control or everything else you care for here will be lost! I know you can understand me! Control your emotioins! ----- Selina watched Aeris bolt towards caretaker Soli and her heart wrenched. They were going to kill one another...she had to do something...but a whimper next to her alerted her of a more important task. She ran over to the small child, no more than four years, who was curled up crying. She took the form in her arms just in time to feel the crackle of energy around the air, and have her own inate ability bristle in response. What was this feeling? It was odd...powerful, but odd. And with this power she felt assured that she could do what she needed to. She ran with the young bundle, grabbing another's hand as she brought them towards the children's home. "Do not linger inside, the cellar on teh otherside, which we use for storms. Go in there, take everyone you can find. And move quickly and don't panic. Issa," she looked towards a girl slightly younger than she who she knew also was hardworking. "make sure they get down there. Do not open the door unless the password Umbra is spoken. Understood?" with the girl's nod she handed over the child and pointed for them all to go. "I will stay here and make sure there are no stragglers. Go quickly!" She turned back to the field, eyes looking for any other children who had not fled at her words.

"I told you so...I told you they would die!"
She was right, damn it Voidra! Why did she have to be right! Soli's rage was unsettling, her white firely body exploding attempting to engulf all of the valley, but wait.
Her eyes glared as Aeris, a challenger, one of an opposing element. She contained Soli's own, how? How could she do that? How could she stop her?!
I will kill you for such stupidity!
Her thoughts range out in her head, but not like Aeris's words.
" Listen to me! I know you are upset, but you have to fight it! Fight its control! I'm so so sorry for what happened! But you have to win back control or everything else you care for here will be lost! I know you can understand me! Control your emotions!"
"Who are you to command me?!" she demanded her voice almost like Voidra's in it's echoing but more viscous, more animal like. She truly was a beast at times, a monster...and she knew it. She hesitated and closed her fists.
"It isn't supposed to be this way...." she said softly, her normal voice.
"NO, I MUST AVENGE HER!!!"
He awoke again, but only for a short moment. He still lay next to his dead traitor of a knight, Sir Roland. His body was burnt, and very badly, but Captain Rui awoke...and what he saw he did not expect.
"Aeris...a Draken...?" he whispered before passing out once more.
"WHAT COULD YOU KNOW OF MY PAIN?! WHAT COULD KNOW OF MY RAGE?! TELL ME DRAKEN!!! TELL ME NOW!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU KNOW OF SOLISALINA'S SUFFERING?!"
Her rage was building but still contained behind Aeris's shields. Aeris was of Moon, and Soli was of Sun. They opposed each other, they conflicted each other. Soli's rage an unstoppable force, Aeris's calm an immovable object, but would remain so? Soli's eyes glares with white raw power, her wings glowed equally bright. The ground beneath her shook and shattered. Her wings, where the source of her Draken element was hidden away for years, glowed ever so bright that it could be blinding. The two forces stood, and stared. Soli tried to push more energy, she tried to force Aeris but to what avail?
A storm is coming.... the words echoes in her heart. She screamed. All of her power imploded upon herself before....silence.
Her solar aura gone, Soli knelt panting, looking at her hands which still smoked from the energy she had but a moment before unleashed. Tears filled her eyes and she covered them her hands. Her wings no longer glowed, her rage silenced. Her sadness echoed, her guilt with it.
"I am a damned fool...."

She took the brunt of her furry, inhaled and exhaled with each surge, containing as best she could the white hot burning passion that assualted her. Her words were that of rage and she knew so well that she had no right to command this child. But she also knew that if she did not stop her right now, so many would die. "If vengence is what you cling to so desperately then it is to your own sorrow!" it was true. Vengence never brought anything save pain and suffering.
She felt the woman give one more forceful push, and truth be told, she almost broke in her stance-almost. She sighed in relief as soon as her wings stopped glowing, falling back to the ground, sighing in relief. She had...stoped a catastrophy that would have been her fault. The though made her smile, if only in bitter satisfaction. Yet there was blood on her hands, in the two lives that were lost upon this day. That was more than enough to keep any real joy away.
---- Selina watched with amazement as they two powerful forces clashed in every way possible, and felt her own chest clench as the energies around them both crackled. She watched as Soli fell to the ground in despair and she ran towards her caretaker. She was expereiencing sorrow. such profound sorrow. "Soli..." She sat down next to her caretaker and put an arm around her shoulder, glaring up towards the soldiers, and even the girl with black wings, shifting herself to be infront of Soli, as a kind of shield. It was their fault, as far as she was concerned that this had to happen. "You may be a fool, but you are our fool, and we need you, Caretaker. she hugged Soli close, not caring if she would respond with a push or a hug. ---- Aeris looked over her shoulder towards the soldiers, and more importantly to her towards her uncle. He was still passed out, as were most of the men. Good...then only a few knew. With a heavy sigh she slumped over, her head burried into her hands as she went into lament over the innocent life that was lost.

((had Yami's permission to powerplay Selina and Aeris))
He awoke, briefly, looking up at Aeris he whispered softy his last words.
"Forgive me...Aeris...I was a fool...I was blind...ignorant to my duty...the draken may be cursed...but not in any way that they...that you...can control..." he coughed some blood, his time was about to pass. "Forgive me...Aeris...and Soli...I have failed...."
With one last exhale he passed beyond all help, Captain Rui was dead.
She hugged Selina, cried into her arms, huge tears.
"I'm sorry..." she said with a sob. "I'm so...so sorry...."
And then...it happened.
Soli's wings glowed but not of their normal glow, Aeris's did too. A purple and blue and gold mixture, an odd mixture. She held on to Selina.
"What's going on?" she asked before she felt time and all space rip open, and the three were pulled through into something else...something timeless and spaces less...
They entered the Nexus.
